Lewis (paul walker) and fuller (steve zahn) are two brothers travelling across america by car. In order to pass the time, they use the cb radio to play a joke on a trucker named rusty nail, convincing him that lewis is a woman called candy cane and arranging a rendezvous in a motel room. Halloween is an example, and john dahl's ''joy ride'' is another. This movie was a fresh, invigorating thriller starring walker, steve zahn and leelee sobieski. 'candy cane' is also lewis, impersonating a woman, though 'rusty nail' does later state that 'candy cane' is venna.
